“Yeah… Johnny sure loves those
away games against the Giants.
He’s always runnin’ out late
to get him a San Francisco Treat,
if you know what I mean.”

Joe Morgan
2nd baseman, broadcaster, cog.
September 19, 1943 – October 11, 2020.
Aged 77 years.

Most recognized for: An integral component of the infamous Big Red Machine, Mr. Morgan is considered my some to be the best 2nd Baseman in MLB history. He was a well rounded fielder and hitter who still managed to steal a lot of bases. Later, he would sit in the announcer’s chair… starting in Cincy but eventually moving up to ABC, NBC, & ESPN… where he was known for his grumpy old-schooler’s rejection of modern stats & analytics.
