Singer/songwriter, Texan, country boy.
September 26, 1960 – November 13, 2020.
Aged 60 years.
Most recognized for: Doug went to college on a golf scholarship before heading to Nashville to pursue a career as a songwriter. Shortly after moving back to Texas, he landed his first record deal… and had a string of country hits, including “I Don’t Call Him Daddy” and “Honky Tonkin’ Fool.” But long after cheating death with a string of random accidents and hospitalizations in the mid 90’s, the “Reno” singer’s marker finally got called.
