His swagger, penchant for patterned spandex pants, and epic smack habit became a primary influencer for future heavy metal bass players Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) and Nikki Sixx (Mötley Crüe.). After decades of debauchery, the man who Ozzy said he couldn’t keep up with finally bottomed out.
