“Mind if I hitch a ride back to base? The pentagon’s latest jet-propelled sh!t box left me stranded out here in the desert again.”

Chuck Yeager
Test pilot, General, adrenaline junkie.
February 13, 1923 – December 7, 2020.
Aged 97 years.

Most recognized for: When the US military would come up with some experimental, rocket-powered contraption and needed a volunteer, he was the crazy MF’er with his hand in the air. He broke speed and altitude records and was the first to break the sound barrier in level flight. He was once storied as having “The Right Stuff”… but now, good ol’ Chuck is just plain stuffed.
