Most recognized for: To make a ridiculous Seinfeld comparison, Carl was the Larry David of 60’s television… as he was the brains behind “The Dick Van Dyke Show.” He also directed “The Jerk,” “Summer Rental,” “Summer School,” and played Saul Bloom in the “Oceans” movies. Alas, the true tragedy of his passing lies in his inability to somehow take his son Rob with him.
