Houston, You Have Another Problem

“Welcome, ladies. This here’s my little space station stabbin’ cabin. Can I interest you in a vaccuum-sealed baggie of chardonnay?”

Bruce McCandless II
Astronaut, Navy pilot, space “walker.”
June 8, 1937 – December 21, 2017.
Aged 80 years.

Most recognized for: Man… NASA’s having a rough year with all these dead rocket jockeys. Anyway, Bruce was the first to make an untethered free flight through space, or a “spacewalk” as they call it around the Cape. As fun as that may sound, floating around with no safety restraints, he did cheat a little bit by using an MMU. So it was less of a space walk & more of a ride in a space chair. Whatever, NASA. Just keep showing-up the Ruskies.
