Seymour No Mour

“I may have the bulbous, pickled nose of a
drunk old man, but at least it isn’t
laying limp and flat on my face
like a damned mudflap.
Right Artie?!?”

Seymour Cassel
Actor, Oscar nominee, cigar aficionado.
January 22, 1935 – April 7, 2019.
Aged 84 years.

Most recognized for: A SAG board member and indie film proponent, Seymour appeared in just about every John Cassavetes and Wes Anderson film. Although the Academy nominated him for his performance in 1968’s “Faces,” he was tragically overlooked for his masterful work in “Artie Lange’s Beer League.” And according to the guitarist’s autobiography, Mr. Cassel – a close childhood friend’s father – gave little Saul Hudson the nickname ‘Slash.’
