“Well, fukk it…
if King Michael’s not smiling,
then neither am I.”

John B. Anderson
Congressman, candidate, coulda-been.
February 15, 1922 – December 3, 2017.
Aged 95 years.

Most recognized for: An Illinois Congressman (R) with oval office dreams, Mr. Anderson decided to give it a go in 1979. His moderate tendencies were popular to the public, but not so much within his own party… so he shocked everyone & ran as an independent. Outraged by John’s inclusion in the debates, President Carter refused to participate… which gave John & Ronnie the spotlight. Anderson got 8% of the popular vote, but Reagan ultimately took the taco.
